The Vermillion Community Theatre is the home of amateur theatre in Vermillion, South Dakota. VCT takes pride in mounting ambitious productions that draw upon the enthusiasm and rich talent pool that runs throughout our community. We strive to include everyone who wants to be involved, whether on stage or off, and to do that in an uplifting and educational way. No matter what your age is or whether you have theatre experience or not, VCT has a place for you.

VCT is always looking to put more people on stage, in the wings, in the pit, in the costume shop, or on our set builds. If you'd like to become one of our volunteers, please contact us through our Volunteer with VCT page.

The main stage offering is the classic Oliver!, a musical about young orphan Oliver Twist’s adventures on the streets of London. It features music, lyrics and book by Lionel Bart, a popular British songwriter and composer during the 1950s, ‘60s and ‘70s.

Performances will be July 25th-28th, with evening performances on the 25th, 26th and 28th at 7 pm, and a matinee on July 27th at 2:30 pm at the Vermillion Performing Arts Center.

Tickets are available at Davis Pharmacy, Nook 'n Cranny (including will-call tickets), and at the door.

It is traditional to gift actors with flowers after a performance. For the convenience of friends and family, there will be flowers available for purchase before each performance.  Willson Florist will be there on Friday and Monday. HyVee will be there Saturday and Sunday. Flowers may be delivered backstage or held at the box office if you don't want to hold them during the show.
